Pyrite?

While I was in South America, I of course noticed the historically proportional incidences of churches, nativity scenes, icons of holiday sentiment, and superstitious tradition indicative of the mass appeal Christianity still maintains in these post-Incan cultures. 

Working through my observations of the plasticization of pyrite, I make these.  

Christmas in Galapagos

its christmas in Pto Ayora. Young, t-shirted children deploy fireworks straight from their bellies, in front of the hospital, while you buy meat on a stick and corn. I photograph. Have to put it at waist level and click from my heart so they don't stop playing
the shops are so pink and every mannequin and plastic notion is crystal clear as roman statues and all point to one thing or another--reproduction or war.
